Eric McDaniel is a journalist in Washington D.C. He currently works as the editor of the NPR Politics Podcast. Previously, he was a political editor at Morning Edition and planning editor at Up First.

He holds a BA and MA in English Literature from the University of Virginia, where he served as student body president.
